Hey everyone! Ok so I got my previous problem fixed but now I have another one. My HDD is not being recognised by UEFI or the Win7 Installer. What on earth do I do?
Try other Sata ports. check the cables if plugged in correctly/tightly to your HDD.
Done that. Checked all ports and both cables. The thing is my optical drive works fine even when I used the same port and cable as the HDD.
HDD could simply be an expensive paper weight. If you can, try it on another computer, or external dock.
Crap. That's not good :/ I'd love to try it on another pc but we only have laptops and a tablet. Can't test it out. The thing I just realised though. The UEFI knows that a HDD is connected, because it's saying I can change some options, however it also says that no drive is avaliable. -_-
Not cool. I think I've just confirmed what you guys have said. I tested out my laptop HDD by hooking it up to the new PC and it got recognised fine. This is definitely a pain in the ass. No PC this weekend
DOA's are always a pain, but they happen unfortunately . All the stuff gets raped by shipping and handling.
Gay. Very, very gay. Just my luck, first build and the HDD doesn't work. At least it's not my fault and I can get it replaced. Unfortunately I'll probably get the replacement on Monday
