Another suggestion is to clear (delete) your temporary Internet files.

For Internet Explorer 10: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/maintenance/ht/deltempintfilesie.htm
For Internet Explorer 7 and 8: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/delete-temporary-internet-files
Two good free programs for cleaning temporary files from your system are:
Cleanup: http://www.stevengould.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=69
CCleaner: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
Running either of those on a regular basis is a good idea.
