Oblivion keeps Crashing on Windows 7 64 bit

Hi-Ho peeps,

I was wondering if you guys could help me,my Oblivion (TES) keeps crashing to my desktop.I bought this game Yesterday and it is the 5th anniversary edition it has the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles DLC's,I can start the game up load my profile and play the game no problem but as soon as I attack it freezes and crashes to my desktop or when I enter a certain area or dungeon it loads and then crashes I have tried running the game in compability mode but no avail my PC specs are as follow:

Windows Proffesional 64 bit
16Gb Ripjaws Ram
MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr III
MSI GD65 Motherboard
3TB HDD

P.S Fallout 3 also crashes like Oblivion (Oblivion and Fallout 3 are the only 2 games that crash to my desktop)

Roll back your video card driver to 314.xx if you haven't already. Crashes to desktop are normally driver related.

I had to download a fix for Fallout 3 in windows 7. Hasn't crashed since. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/18900/?

Might be a similar issue with Oblivion.

The thing is My Drivers for My Graphics card is on the 314.07 drivers I have checked Youtube and it had a solution to stop the lag between attacks but it was for MAC. I have unticked the following in the oblivion garphics configurator the Distant trees,Landscapes and Buildings and it seems to crash a lot less o_O I'm thinking it could be something to do with the rendering but it couldnt be that because I have checked My card and benchmarked it and stressed it and made sure Temps are good so I can't think that a Physical hardware problem is the cause it could be the game having clashes with windows or it could be the drivers as nosupport said But how could it as my drivers are currently on the 314.07 versions and it still happens otherwise I have to find someone who can help me on editing the files of the game so that it can enhance compability with my System or get a solution and thanks for that fix for Fallout 3 robnof.Hopefully an answer would pop up because I've checked a lot of forums and looks like nobody knows how to fix this problem. Thanx for helping

I am just going to add this incase anyone needs help with Skyrim,if your Skyrim Crashes to your desktop after a few moments of gameplay just go to your speaker option in your windows taskbar and click on it click on the speakers icon under device and go to the Advanced Tab select the 16 bit,44100 Hz (CD Quality) option and then you'll be good to go :).

I kind of found a solution I'm not sure how long it will keep up but going to the Oblivion.ini File (Search it in the Taskbar) when I found this file I Found a Video on youtube explaining that pressing Ctrl+F and typing buseWaterShader Finding the text change the value from 1 to 0 Your Water in-game will be Purple I think but It defintly solves the crashing between load screens,crashing between attacks and kills have not yet crashed but I will give it a day and see but that solves atleast the crashing between load screens and it is defintly to do with game rendering as I have seen doing the shader of the water change and putting HDR on makes the load bar dissapear and the screen goes black and then pops up with the next area or level.
