Hello.I am with Windows 7 Ultimate (I have a laptop), and I recently noticed that the free space in Disk C (the one with the OS) is being reduced slowly without me having downloaded or installed anything there.Do you have any idea what the reason might be?

Edit:I downloaded CCleaner and removed unnecessary files.I also made a Disk Cleanup and deleted temp files as well. Now mY free space in C was increased slightly.Any idea why this is happening? Before I used Windows 7 Home Premium and didn't have this issue. Now I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and suddenly this happens.

Temp internet files, windows hibernation, Window restore, Windows update, pagefile and antivirus software can all decrease your free space. Unless you are close to a full HD, there is no issue.

I noticed it again.Even after I re-installed the OS, this issue continues to do.At some random points the space is reduced. And what do you mean that the files have a certain limit to take?I mean, the disk continues to get filled and it doesn't stop at any point.

Do you have Google Earth installed?

I had the same mysterious problem in my PC. It was actually Google Earth accumulating an enormous amount of files in a hidden folder (almost 420Gb when I discovered it). If you have Google Earth, do the following: First go to the "Appearance and personalization" folder in the "Control Panel". Then, in "Folder Options" look for the option that allow Windows to show hidden files.

Now, in your "User" folder (the one that have the images, downloads and documents folders) you will find a previously unseen folder called "AppData". Here is the path you must follow "AppData">"LocalLow">"Google">"Google Earth">"unified_cache_leveldb_leveldb2". Delete everything in this folder, and your hard disk space will come back to normal.

Sorry for the bad English, not my first language.
