I have a budget of 1700 dollars and I want to build a monster for battlefield 4 and maybe crisis 3 , I want at least 50 fps running those games :) thanks in advance

Solution

The Sabertooth is a controversial board. I have one myself, and quite like it, but I would never recommend it for a build below $3,000, it's just not efficient.

AMD makes great CPUs, but they're not competitive with Intel in gaming at the high-end. The i5-4670k if the best gaming CPU on the market at the moment, and I would recommend using that for a build with this budget. The FX 8350 isn't terrible, however, just not as optimal for gaming.

CPU: Intel Haswell i5 4670k
GPU/VGA: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD
Memory/RAM: Ripjaws 16GB
SSD Kingston Hyper X 3K 120Gb or Samsung 840 Pro

It will max Crysis 3, and if you require a monitor/OS/peripherals, there's still some room in the budget.

If this build is insufficient in some regard, I'll be happy to alter it to suit your needs.

I am going to take everyones suggestions and look at the prices because I live in south Africa so it differs and see if it matches , I will report back as soon as possible :)

Oh lord. I helped a fellow from South Africa a while back. Based on what I saw then, expect a 30-50% premium on the prices.

Have you seen benchmarks I haven't? Because I was under the impression that we were unaware of the requirements to max BF4.

Edit: In response to your edit, given that they use different engines (Frostbite 2 and 3, respectively, I'd be surprised to see identical or even very similar requirements).

If you buy the Ripjaws, yes it will, but if youre going to buy corsair, you should buy the low profile

if im not overclocking more than 4.0 ghz then is the nh d14 necessary ? I dunno if I want to overclock ?

If you're only looking for a moderate overclock, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo from my build should be plenty.

You certainly don't need to overclock, though it can net you a goodly amount of extra performance for a relatively low cost.

Well in that case, the Cooler Master 212 EVO is enough

8175 rand is about 815$

Hd 7870 can achieve 50+fps easily (high-max. Settings)

If you want a better gpu get gtx 770

There are likely some air coolers that could fit over Vengeance, though I can't think of any off the top of my head. You might consider an NZXT Kraken x40 at the low-end, or a Swiftech H220 or NZXT Kraken x60 at the high end. Alternatively, custom loops are always great, though they're the most difficult and most costly option.
