Uping my pc need to know about power supply

Hey just wondering cause I figured Im going to need a new power supply for my new pc I got coolmasters slient pro 850w rite now as my power supply.

but my new pc parts are
Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 Vapor-X OC 6GB GDDR5 PCIe
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB 1600mhz x4 for a max of 32gb of ram
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50 GHz LGA1155 CPU
ASUS Maximus V Formula Intel Z77 ATX ROG
CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES H100I EXTREME CPU COOLER

an my pc case im using is a coolmasters HAF 932 AMD full tower.

I do plan on getting a cooling system in some time as well so I was figuring of going with Silent Pro Hybrid 1300W or Silent Pro M2 1500W.

An thanks for the info on this a head of time.

More about uping power supply
  1. Why that much watts? Are you going to quadfire or something?

Well I dont think my 850w will cut it seeing as the new video card alone needs 750w, an once all parts an ever thing hook up in it I figure the power will be around 900w to just over 1000w an I might be overclocking once in a while to get renders of my work done faster so I dont want to risk being close to the power cap an go over it.

Also as i said I do plan on adding a cooling system later on, an theres deals on at moment for the supply of 1300w which would be around the cost of 1000w of $150 to $200.
an having abit of spare power leaves it open for me to add a 2nd video card down the road.

An never built some thing with this high specs so just seeing what I truly need as in terms of power supply.
  3. That GPU does not use 750w :o. Where did you hear that? 850W will be plenty for your plans ;).
  4. There's no need for that much power for a single GPU setup, in fact the 850 Watt unit installed would run dual HD7970s.
    Run the numbers through this:

  5. Was going off what the box said "systems requirements -750w (or greater) power supply with two 150w 8-pin pci express power connecters recommended"
Unless I under stood it wrong an its around the 500w mark like it said online which confuse me a bit when seen that on the box so thats why im asking.
    An thanks.

That's for the whole system, includign cpu ram mobo fans cooling hdd's + a large margin to be safe. As said above, 850w is plenty even if you're going to run 2 7970's.
