Increasing Graphics Memory

I have an Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family, and have read various threads about how to increase the Graphics Memory value.

However, I am prevented from doing so because the BIOS is one of those HP Setup Utility things that only shows you simple things, not the detailed stuff.

i read there was a modded driver for this, but i can't seem to find it anywhere.

What got me onto this in the first place was that a game kept crashing when I went to play it.

If anyone can help here, I'd really appreciate it, as I'm getting sick of Empire At War rebooting the system everytime I try to do a battle.

Could you explain a little more please?

When i installed the game, things seemed okay, but then everytime i clicked the button to continue on to a battle, Empire At War would reset the computer.

And whatever the issue can't be that deep, as I'm running the sims 3 with expansions on the system and they're more intensive for system resources than Empire At War is.

If you can't change it in the BIOS, it's not worth hacking it, you have as much chance of just getting an unstable system in ALL situations.

Get a cheap gaming video card, Radeon 6670 would do, and will be a huge perfomance leap over the intergrated video.

Just checked out eBay.

I have only $50 to spend next pay, so I managed to find these two cards:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SAPPHIRE-ATI-RADEON-HD5450-1GB-DDR3-HYPERMEMORY-0DB-LOW-PROFILE-HDMI-VIDEO-CARD-/330836017108?pt=AU_Components&hash=item4d075cffd4

Can someone please tell me which would give better performance?

And the reason I've gone for a Low Profile card is that I have a desktop and don't have a spare case around to convert it, since there isn't enough room for a full height card.

I just went through eBay again and found the following models available:

5570
5450
6450
6570
7750
6350
4350
4550

The 7750 is a bit too pricey, but if someone could recommend a model from these or another, I'd really appreciate it.

What is your CPU, RAM, power supply and case? PC full model? The 7750 is the best low power gaming card out now, it will run just about any game well enough at normal resolutions at average quality settings.

If you buy a used video card, make sure the seller takes returns, many people try to sell their crashing or even totally dead video cards.
