My question is would I better suited to buy a 1440p monitor (currently 1080p LG w2361), a GTX 770 (or AMD equivalent), or a CPU/mobo bundle from Microcenter?
The CPU/Mobo bundle might be confusing as to why the hell I'd want to do that. I have an older build in the living room for movies and Steam Big Picture that desperately needs a new CPU and Mobo (LGA 775, C2D e7200, DDR2, AMD 5770). Any parts I replace in my current build would be trickled down into my old, struggling living room build. That being said, any upgrade to the living room computer is secondary to getting the best, most cost effective upgrade to my main, current PC listed above. The passed down parts to the old PC is just a nice bonus.
Thanks in advance for any input!
