Assuming you have a PCIe x16 or x8 slot available on the no-brand motherboard...

What are the makes and models of the current and new PSU?
That will be the main factor in determining whether or not you can run the 780 on this system.

When choosing a PSU, Seasonic is the first brand that comes to mind because of the top-quality components and manufacturing.

For your system with a single GTX 780 a Seasonic G-Series 550W PSU is an excellent choice.

Not sure if your motherboard can run an SLI setup, but if you'll be running with two 780s some day in SLI the Seasonic 750W M12II is a great choice.

Is it a problem to buy the 750w already?

No, but if you know your motherboard is incapable of running an SLI setup, the 550W supply I posted will be more than enough for a single GTX 780 on that system and will save you some money.
