Get the Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB or G.Skill X Series 8GB. Obviously, the lower the latency, the better. But I wouldn't spend too much money over it. And depending if you plan to OC or not, you may need to consider overclocking capability of your RAM. But OC on RAM alone yields near negligible performance gains outside of memory-sensitive apps.

Take a look at what's available, if you want above average sticks look for sets in CL8 or CL7. 1600 with CL9 is run of the mill..lower CL is always better within a given frequency....also look for 1.5 sets, 1.6 or 1.65 voltage in 1600 is too much especially for mediocre CL9 sets. For 8 GB will also want a 2x4GB set. 1x8GB runs in single channel, lower performance, and 4x2GB is more stress on the memory controller than just 2 sticks for a newer rig I'd suggest something like the the Ripjaws X in CL8
