BIOS settings not applying, can't overclock

Hello everyone!

For some odd reason after a bios reset to default I am no longer able to overclock, any changes to multipliers, voltage or anything performance related does not apply to my system. I am using the gigabyte z77x-d3h and i5-3570k. anyone know why this is happening? I have the latest bios.

Try a another CMOS reset, if no joy, check for a BIOS update

Factory default flips performance profile to auto, basic, optimal. In UEFI, there should be a performance or turbo mode setting. Chang to manual or extreme or something referring to that

Thank you all for your replies. I actually tried downgrading my bios and it worked, down from the absolute latest to its previous version. I hope this helps anyone who might encounter the same problem.
