I don't want my computer going to sleep, but for some reason no matter how many times i go into power controls in the control panel and set the sleep to never, it resets after a reboot and set back to the default setting.

Any idea of what could be causing this? Thanks

hmm, when I goto advanced options in the power saving menu I can change from, "power saver, balanced and Performance" But it gives me no option to apply. The button is there but not active to click on no matter what I change.

Although as stated before I can save it under the normal menu but after a reboot it resets, advanced won't allow any changes.

Yea, never had this problem on my core 2 desktop and amd laptops. Its a strange one. Only thing new is haswell's power saving feature. But i haven't seen anyone else have this problem. I must say though, it comes out of sleep almost as fast as a monitor would turn on from touching a key when it turns off.. I just always hated sleep mode.

I too have this problem. I've upgraded my Mb to an ASUS Z87A and i7 4770 o/c 43. I would like to have my PC to "never sleep" yet have my monitor to turn off after 30 mins. The resolution won't work for me as it never "puts to sleep" the monitor.

Hi ur6beer, Sometimes I need to download game patches and would like to do it over night, yet have my monitor sleep. Yes I have win 7 64 bit home. I've tried all the different power options to get it to sleep, custom, basic etc.
