Which ram to get

im unsure if i should get 2x4gb corsair ram - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-2x4GB-Desktop-Memory-CMX8GX3M2A1600C9/dp/B0042A7CAA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

or 2x4gb cruicial ram http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/memory-pc/ddr3-pc3-128001600mhz/bls2cp4g3d1609ds1s00ceu.html

both are 1600mhz but the corsair ram apparently runs at 1.65v while the cheaper cruicial at 1.5, is there any significent differance in performance in the two?

Nope just buy whichever the cheapest one.

2nd one has slightly better timings 9-9-9-24 versus 9-9-9-27

Another difference is timings. 9-9-9-24(Crucial Ballistix) and the other is 9-9-9-27(Corsair).

At 1600 1.65 is excessive, that's normally for sticks at 2133 or better to keep the DRAM voltage in a balance with the MC (memory controller voltage)...1.65 is also used in high performance low CL sticks, which 1600/CL9 is not...If it requires 1.65 to run at a basic 1600/9 then they are generally low level IC's (memory chips). If looking at 1600 and want a performance kick, look to CL7 or CL8 sticks, (CL is the CAS Latency, the first number of the 4 base timings i.e. 9-9-9-24 is CL9...
