I built my first pc like 3 months ago and I installed 8 gb of corsair ddr3, on my asus mobo p8b75 m-lx, and my RAM sticks are supposed to reach 1866 MHz but they work at a maximum of 1600 MHz. I have tried everything, I used memtest to see if something was wrong with them but everything was ok, I have tried several times to change the settings on the bios but as soon as I reboot my computer, it crashes and I have to disconnect my psu. I contacted corsair to see if they could help, they first asked me to send them a screenshot of the memory timings seen in the cpuz app, but everything was ok, they also told me to activate x.m.p, I had tried that before they told me to and it didn´t work, but I did it again and nothing happened and after that, they just stopped replying my messages. I don´t know what else to do, and I also don´t know if I am doing something wrong, please help me guys, if corsair staff won´t help me, you are the only ones left.

Do you have the latest BIOS, if not, get that and try enable XMP select profile 1, if no joy post your base DRAM timings and system voltages and we'll set them up manually....and welcome to Corsair, haven't been impressed with their 'techs' about all they know is XMP, they don't know manual setup or how to adjust voltages
