Hi looking to build a gaming pc for around £500 (550) max. Main requirements are to be able to run most new release on top settings with stable fps. I have a 720p lcd dell monitor atm will most likely upgrade that.

The main build i am considering atm is the one shown in this video. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=HOEpdEHNIa4&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DHOEpdEHNIa4 does this look good? I'd probably get the suggested ssd too.

I dont need an operating system only the parts as shown in that video (all listed in description to save watching), also should I be looking to overclock and say for a game like BF3 would the above build (with ssd) run it on max settings with good fps?

Any improvements, better prices for the same parts (i dont follow sites that have deals any suggestions), or alternate builds are appreciated. Before for a gfx card I was considering a 7850 but not sure whats better. Also on a final note is a 500w psu fine? A lot of questions any help is appreciated.

Thnx

uk.pcpartpicker.com should be a good start for setup a part list. Build list in that vid only take the pricing from amazon, and didn't count in any deals. With deals from different online stores counted in, it's possible to get you a better system from your money:

A igh quality 550w PSU like that XFX one is more than just fine. It will be sufficient even if you want to add in a GTX Titan in the future. And no, SSD does nothing but increase the loading speed the first time you turn on your game.

That build looks really good ty for the help :) how would it run something like bf3? I dont have much knowledge but is 6 cores necessary? Would it be possible to downgrade there or somewhere else to include a ssd and remain below 550?

Thnx

New games like BF3/BF4 or Crysis3 can utilize as many cores as possible from a CPU, so more cores will obviously be more helpful. Plus there's a 30 GPB discount on the FX6300, so why not? As for BF3 performance, ultra settings 1080p in multiplier can be expected.

If you want to sneak in a good SSD yet keep it under 550 and remains gaming perfomance, I'd fix it like this:

That 450w PSU is from Seasonic with top quality. It will power your system well. Might give some tips on how to assemble parts but I think that YouTubers can do this better than I am. Just remember to instal OS to SSD and not the HDD, connect all cables to needed place and use the motherboard's manual in case something bug you out during installation :)
