Hello I am interested in purchasing a server for my house. I have two builds i am currently debating between. Both have their ups and downs and am interested in what the community has to say to both builds.

Same in both builds:
OS: CentOS
Case: Lian Li PC-Q25B
PSU: Silverstone SILVERSTONE ST45SF-G 450W
HDD: 1 x 2 TB Storage Drive (More storage will be purchased in the future)

Build 1 (Server Grade):
Motherboard: Intel DBS1200KPR Mini ITX Server Motherboard
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1225 V2 Ivy Bridge 3.2GHz
Memory: Kingston 8GB DDR3 ECC

Build 2 (Desktop Grade):
Motherboard: ASRock B75M-ITX
CPU: Intel Core i3-3225 Ivy Bridge
Memory: 8 GB DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws (Will be purchasing from a friend cheap)

The server will be used for:
1. File Server
2. Streaming Movies/Music
3. Web Server (Apache/MySQL/etc)
4. Mumble Server
5. Possible Minecraft Server

The main question i need to ask is what would be the benefit of buying the server grade parts over the desktop parts? Would it be worth it in the end to buy the server quality parts or should i just go for the i3 and b75? I plan on running the server 24/7. How would the i3/b75 fair running 24/7 vs the Xeon. I am also on a budget so getting a low cost solution is very important to me. I look forward to your responses and feel free to make any suggestions! They are appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice! I was actually debating between that one and the one i have picked! The gigabyte is only 30 dollars more and has a lot more features!
