The company doesn't have a great reputation, but the 650W in that line (haven't seen the 550 reviewed) actually got OK reviews - good tests from hardware secrets and middling ones from jonnyguru and techpower up. It's probably a reasonable enough PSU that it can actually handle power better than the fly-by-night fireboxes, but it's priced in the same range as the XFX 550, which I much rather have.

In other words, probably not a PSU that's worth actually going out and buying, but if you're using one, it's not bad enough that you would break into your biggest enemy's house and secretly install it in his or her PC while they're asleep.

I was thinking about buying one, but now I'm not really sure. What psu would you recommend me for around £50. Also, I really want it to be a 500w.
