Hi,
Do you know if there is a difference between the ATI radeon card called AMD Radeon HD 5450 and the others XXX Radeon hd 5450?

For compatibility reasons for virtual environement through ESXI, it looks like I need the AMD Radeon HD 5450 but I saw there is an Asus radeon hd5450, VTX3D Radeon HD5450, Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 5450, Dell ATI AMD Radeon HD 5450 ,Dell ATI AMD Radeon HD 5450 ....

Are they 100 % all the same or do I have absolutely choose the one that i compatible for the virtual environment i mean the amd Radeon HD 5450?
Thank you :)

They are absolutely the same. The only difference is AMD uses the reference design cooling while ASUS, Sapphire and other Brands use their own custom cooling for the card. So at...

well they have pretty much same specs [ i.e: same amount of shader's, rops memory bus etc] the only difference between is that Asus, VTd3X card is that they have different memory size or clocks. so they offer slightly better performance than the reference card.

hello

I am excperiencing the same dilema (or 5-lema) for the 5450. I need it just because my integrated isn't enough anymore to enjoy newer HD youtube videos (shaky picture).
but when choosing from HD5450s, I found that the HD5450 products from Saphire, Giga, AMD etc have the memory speed that varies from 800, 900, 1100, 1333 to 1600 MHz.
and they are all about +/-2$ difference in the price . twice the speed for the same amount of money seems unlogical. a lot.
I cannot find the answer what is the secret of it. do different companies overclock the memory than ?!
if you saythat they're all same, OK. I am not a computer expert. but maths tells me that the speed of something is twice bigger. why ?
