i am planning to either get the vengeance pro 2133mhz cl11 or the gskill 2133mhz cl9 and i was wondering how large difference there was between cl9 and cl11?

EDIT: or is the GSkill TridentX 2133mhz cl9 ram better?

Solution
Corsair ram IMO is a huge ripoff anymore. I used to be big into dominators till i bought my first pair of G Skill Ripjaws and they were outstanding. Do yourself a favor and buy some G. Skill memory and save some money.

And to answer your question the G Skill memory will be faster. Cas 9 > Cas 11

Depends on what apps you run. In general, you will not notice any difference. But the lower the latency, the better.

 The Tridents are the top of the line but the ripjaws are just as good.

hm not sure which to get, the website i am using to buy my parts is webhallen.com cuz i live in sweden and there is only a 10 kr difference (very little) between the two and the tridents are ugly as hell. i dont see any difference of the ram sticks on the website though. my computer will be for mostly playing games and maybe some video editing and stuff :??:

ive read somewhere that the difference is worth it but im never sure. some people say the difference is worth it in some games and other say it is a waste of money. but should i get the Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866mhz then. i love the look of the pros but the cost of the pros 1866mhz is actually more than the gskill 2133mhz. there is also such a minor price difference between the 1866mhz and the 2133mhz pros

Whichever is cheaper really. When it comes to RAM, just make sure you have enough of it. The latency and timing is only noticeable in memory-sensitive applications. Gaming is not one of the applicants for it. There may be a few games that is memory-sensitive, but I personally do not know of any. The difference between 1600 and 2133 in gaming is only about 1-3 fps. The increase is very, very little.
