Ive been told to change my ram to the new "Corsair vengeance Pro series" which I will do. (They are the same price)
Also ive been told to change my PSU to Corsair CX 600 or a G-series Seasonic 650W perhaps because of compatibility issues.

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master V6 GT 93.7 CFM CPU Cooler ($49.99 @ Newegg)

The only advantage I see from this build are the free games I get with the 7970. They aren't a major advantage but its a bonus.
I know the 2 video cards are really close and the HD 7970 is a better card for the dollar, but since the first build is under my budget I dont see why its back not to go with the 770!

I was really convinced with the first build (was always a Nvidia/intel fan) but then a member explained how the 2nd build is superior to the first. If I can get any experience opinions on this, you would save me alot of doubt as there's no turning back after I put my order this week.

Thanks alot guys, just need a last solid answer before I place my order!

@Marcopolo now I know why are you always bugging me out

On-topic: how about an i5 build with HD7970ghz instead ( and free games of course )? Or just choose from one of the builds above? Both the builds above are imbalanced here and there, thou.

hmm Id rather really go with the first build ( I dont know why im convinced that intel is more reliable than AMD). The free games arent a major issue but from what ive read the 770 beats the 9790 in most stuff by a bit. How would you fix the first build (as you stated its a bit imbalanced)?
Thanks for answers though guys!

I'd lower the CPU cooler a bit ( while remains expert cooling performance ) and get you a higher wattage PSU in case you want to run another 770 for SLI in the future:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BK 68.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($94.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $144.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Total cost for those 2 parts remains the same compared to the build you posted above.
