Low FPS on Far Cry 3 with Sapphire HD7770 OC edition

Hi there,
I know this is a pretty old question, but I have just come across so many different answers.
The game is very stuttery on ultra/high settings (something like 10 FPS). Medium settings are better, with about 30 FPS. I'm told this is normal for this card since the game is so demanding, yet I am confused when I see videos like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuNEpfRIxjc and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkkwZCfKm9Q
Any help would be much appreciated

CoolerMaster 550W
8G DDR3 RAM

I have the exact same graphics card as you do, and when I tried out Farcry3 i had the same issues.. Though I was using an old Pentium cpu... But now I have a slightly better 1 (still old) and I play Battlefield 3 with 3 screens and it has no issues (on low settings). I find it odd that you have such low fps with a high cpu like yours.. How old is your 7770?

HD7770 is a mid-range card. Moving from a 128 bit to 256 bit memory interface in your choice of graphics card would be a major improvement. There are other considerations as well but a card with a 128 bit memory interface won't realistically work well on ultra/high settings.
