I've got this PC which is now about a year old and just wondering how much I could sell it for. Here are the specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz CPU
Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
8 GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
500GB Hard Drive
DVD Drive
PCI Network Card

Here's how you accurately figure out how to calculate system depreciation.

Take what you paid for it, subtract the salvage value (if there is any), divide by the life of the system and multiply by the year of sale.

So if it's an $800 build, you've had it for two years and there's a salvage value of $150 it would look something like this:

(($800 - $150) / 2)) = $325

Year One: $800 - $325 = $475

Now in year two, multiply $325 by the month of sale. If you're selling in July, it would look like this.

Year two: (($325 * (6/12)) = $162.50

$475 - $162.50 = $312.50

You can expect the minimum your system will sell is about $312.50.
