Hi, I have a big issue which I cannot solve.
When I play e.g. to Far Cry 3, Fifa 13, Nba2k13 etc. my PC shows a blue screen or it re-bootstraps. Especially when I play to Nba2k13, it frezees and I have to switch off it. I tested the PC using Prime95, OCCT 4.4.0 and after some minutes ithey show the error: FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0,5, expected less than 0,4; hadrware failure detected. That's alternatively on all 3 Cores.
Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC.: M4N78-AM
Graphics board: NvidiaGeForce 9800 GT
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X3 720 Processor
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
How can I understand the source/reason of this fatal error? Is there a software tool to understand it?

Thanks a lot
Ale

Since it is showing on all 3 cores randomly, I would run memtest86 for at least 7 passes to check for memory errors.

This is assuming that your system is running at stock settings. If you are overclocking your processor needs more voltage or your memory needs downclocking or more voltage also.

Yesterday I let Memtest86 4.3.0 Beta work for 4 hours but any problem.
My PC can work one day without any crash but if don't overload it with heavy games like FarCry 3, etc. therefore I don't think the memory is my problem.
It is not overclocked and the NVidia drivers are always updated (I already installed 3 or 4 updates always wuth the same results).
Could it be the processor or the motherboard ?

WhoCrashed shows many different errors like:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (NT Kernel & System)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Driver TCP/IP or DirectX Graphics MMS)
BAD_POOL_HEADER (NT Kernel & System)
VIDEO_TDR_ERROR (NVidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver version 320.18)
NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I'm really very confused...

What power supply are you using? make , model and wattage.

Download OCCT and run the power supply test. We are looking for low voltage on the 12 v line under stress.
http://www.ocbase.com/

Also look at the motherboard capacitors. If ANY are swollen ,leaking ,rounded tops etc ..the motherboard needs replaced.

Also do a hard drive scan to check for bad sectors.

All of your errors could be caused by any of the things I have listed.
We need to check each one to narrow it down to one culprit.

Very good tips.
Regarding the power supply, I have replaced it becaus the previous model literaly burst during the test ! It was a 450W. Now it is a 750W, I have to check the model but I'm worry to run the test again...
Regarding the capacitors, I will check them, it is a good suggestion.
For the HD drive I can move for example FarCry from F: to C: and see if it happens again even I already checked the surface.
I will keep you informed
Many thanks
