So my current computer is a gateway fx 4710 ub003a. Im pretty much replacing everything on it except the hard drive and optical drive. Im current running windows vista 64. My new chipset will be z87 which is going from lga 755 to 1150. What im wondering is will i need to reinstall my OS if i use my current hard drive with all the new parts or is there a way to do it without a reinstall or reformat?
