Just finished building my first gaming rig. I've a Extreme 3 z87 board with i5 4670k CPU with a EVO 212.

By using the Asrock A-Tuning. I was able to get my CPU to run at 4.3 Ghz just by pressing one performance mode button. However, the voltage says it's at 1.790?!!! Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that really high. Also, it only says the temperture is on 31 C, while not doing a lot of load that is.

Is that good enough for my CPU, how can i push my CPU beyond that. Also, is the high voltage going to destroy my pc?

oh ok. i'm skeptical now about the reliability of the A-tuning feature that my MOBO came with

Is there any better ways to tuning without too much work? Please take in mind that i'm a PC noob, and barely managed to build the PC

In the bios overclocking settings. I would start by changing the multiplier to 43, and start with the voltage @1.3, and raise it from there. You will know if it is too low, as windows will not boot, or it will be unstable. You can test stability with prime95.

I would still double check in bios. If it were actually running with that voltage, your computer likely wouldn't even turn on. But still, rather be safe than sorry.

If you barely managed to build a pc and don't know much about it, I would highly suggest you don't overclock it yet. You should read more on overclocking guides and learn the most you can before actually testing it out.
Programs like ASRock-A-Tuner that automatically overclocks your system usually increase the voltage higher than it should be, which is why manual overclocking via BIOS is the best way.

Most CPU coolers can't handle 1.5v, let alone 1.790. "Higher than it needs to be" is an understatement lol.

Yea, i know the basics of OC and everything. And i'm very skeptical about if the thing is actually running on 31 C not under load or the voltage.

I'll probably just go check bios. While i do want to OC, nothing extreme like 5.0. I don't think that'll be necessary for a single monitor gaming on 1920 x 1080.

Also, i've a Gigabyte Windforce 770, so it should be able to max everything.

You would likely need a monster custom loop for 5.0 anyway. Haswell doesn't overclock very well. And yes with the gpu+cpu combo that you have, you really don't need to OC at all.
