How do I stop this from happening? It seemed to happen more on my old computer (built my new one a few weeks ago) but it's still happening. When I was having a LAN party, it happened to everyone playing TF2 at the same time. We have a netgear router, computers are wired. Please help. Thank you.

is the timer counting down or frozen at that number?
if its frozen then its most likely your computer loosing connection, if the number is counting down then its likely the host has crashed.
was the crash for everyone at the LAN event or just you?

whoever was hosting the game had a connection failure, resulting in the appearance of a server crash.
These connection lost messages will happen on any game, they may increase on your older machine because it has more difficulty re-establishing a connection.
