tried runinning skyrim with all maxed - no mods

the specs are on my sig, im running 1680x1050 res. 13.6 drivers and i get only 35 fps.

from what ive seen i should be getting +60 easily.

by all maxed do you mean 16X anti-aliasing? if so tone that down and you'll get good fps. AA is really taxing and generally there's no need to run 16X AA

i set the AA to 4x and Anistropic filtering to 8x, all the rest are maxed, still 35-50 fps only, once dipped even to 24

It's because your processor has 8 cores and Skyrim only uses one properly.

sounds about right. it's a CPU bottleneck. didn't see he had an 8320, thought it was an 8350.

anyway, overclock your CPU as much as you can, you should see performance increase accordingly
