I'm building a new computer. Do I need any additional element for it to be able to use WiFi?

I don't know whether it matters but my MOBO is Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3.

it does matter, and that mobo (or just about any AMD mobo as far as I know), doesn't include wifi. you'll need a wifi PCIe card. a wifi USB dongle works too but those aren't as good
