I know you probably just want to send me to a different thread, but please listen. I hav a apu and gpu that i KNOW are capable of utilizing dual graphics. When i boot up my bios on my MSi motherboard, there is an option to enable dual graphics. This MOBO also was specifically designed for AMD dual graphics. After i enable it, i switch to my motherboards input and it starts up. After the windows startup screen, my monitor stops getting signal. This only happends when i enable dual graphics. PLEASE HELP!

My APU is a AMD A8 and on the box it says that it is AMD dual graphics ready. It lists 3 GPU's it will work with and the Radeon 6570 is one of them and it is the one I have.

Solution
You shouldn't have to with a 6570...It should just ask you if you want to enable hybrid crossfire (or dual graphics) and you should be on your way. I'm willing to bet this has something to do with a manufacturer restriction.

Please list your system specs, Especially what 2 graphic cards are you using.
If your taking about using your APU & your GPU as dual graphics - it won't work. You need 2 phyical graphic cards.

Thank you for the Quick response. I should mention that I am pairing a Graphcis card with a APU. The instructions in the MOBO say you must activate it on the graphics card and then plug it into the motherboard. I tried to plug it into the graphics card, but nothing happened.

On the box of the APU it says that it will pair with the graphics card.

Of course you can, it's called hybrid crossfire. I am running it in my system right now.

hey sorry i haven't replied ive been really busy. What i did was take the gpu out of the computer. After the windows loading screen, the pc looses signal. I believe this is an entire problem in itself. so to recap, taking out the graphics card did nothing. is there any way to install drivers for the integrated graphics on the video card? This would seem to be the only way that i can get the integrated graphics to work. Thanks!

Ive been doing some research and it seems that this problem is common. I should mention that at one point I was able to get the dual graphics to work to some extent. It booted up, and i was able to log on. The resoluton was bad, so i went to install drivers. When i went to install them, the computer crashed and it has been doing the "black screen of death" as i have seen some people call it. I believe there was a problem while installing the drivers for the onboard graphics. I really think that all i hav to do is reinstall the onboard graphics drivers. IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME DO THIS PLEASE TELL ME. Thanks!!!!

i did some more research. I am able to start it up in safe mode, but when i go to install drivers i get failed to load detection driver

Ok, but should I be doing this in the integrated graphics or my video card? What I am able to do is launch it in safe mode. The only problem is that safe mode won't let u install things.

First off, I want to thank you for your help. After asking a friend, I came to the conclusion that my power supply wasn't strong enough to run dual graphics. I bought a dual graphics ready power supply, and I am waiting for it to come. I am almost certain that this is the issue, being that the screen lost signal, probably being because the motherboard lost power

Hi,the power supply arrived. On the box, it said it was compatible with crossfire. When i installed it, it still didn't work. Is there a certain extra connector u have to plug in?

what do you recommend i should do? Do you think this is a driver issue? That would be my only other guess. Do you think you could tell me how to install drivers in safe mode? should i just uninstall all graphics drivers and then not install any on the video card?

ok i figured out the problem. The graphics drivers had some kind of error. Reisntalling did the trick. However, i have now run into a new problem. Crossfire is slower than my gpu by itself. Any help?

Slower in games? or just day to day use?
