What sort of advice are you looking for?

Can it be done? Yes, my tv is LG but I've had it hooked up to a computer through HDMI for a number of years now. However, I had some problems at the resolution of 1920x 1080, my first LG tv (32") pixelated and my current LG tv (42") underscans (don't see the full desktop) and it lags rotten. The best resolution I got for both tv was 1360 x 768.

How do you do it? Errr, ummm, place pc near tv, connect one end of hdmi cable into hdmi port on pc's graphics card (if you don't have a HDMI port you can use the DVI socket with adapter), connect other end of HDMI cable to spare port on tv. Switch on pc, switch on tv, select the port/input the HDMI cable is plugged into and voila.

Do I need to use Windows 7? No, any hardware with the right connections and a compatible screen resolution will work. I've had it work as far back as Windows 98 (I was using S-Video and the picture was rubbish but it still worked).

Other - please ask.
