I just purchased the asus z87 pro motherboarad as well as the i5 4670k intel processor. I am thinking about buying a h100i liquid cooling system. What is the best case to use with this particular system, and what extra cooling fans should I buy for the actual case itself? For the case I could really use something that is not over $100 and for the fans I want something that is not expensive, but gets the job done well for the amount of money I invest them.

Also: Will there be any other pieces of hardware I need to buy to allow these fans to work with the h100i?

I'm buying a radeon hd 7970, and I've heard those get pretty hot so yeah...

Case is $80 by itself (MSRP = $140) but combo is a steal

Case - $150 - Corsair 500R Black http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1327095
$45 MIR
PSU - incl. w/ above - Corsair TX750 included with above

I see no value in the H series coolers from Corsair ..... marginal performance (1/4 degree C) over the better air coolers does not offset leak risk IMO.

Cooler - $80 - Phanteks PH-TC14 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835709011
TIM - $7 - Shin Etsu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835150080

I dont see a place for the 7970- at this point in time

I am also due to an upgrade and I just purchased this one:

http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Technologies-Premium-Performance-RL-KRX60-01/dp/B00ANJRTXE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372461062&sr=8-1&keywords=NZXT+Technologies+KRAKEN+X60

The tests that influenced my decision:

I may also upgrade my fans to:

http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Tek-Computer-Cooling-FHP-141/dp/B00A460TK6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

But idk if tha'd be an overkill. Also, I'd buy a 7950 with a great cooling system and then OC it. You can better the stock 7950 and match GTX680 in performance without messing with the voltages.

My current set up:

2500k @4.8 ghz looking to get 5+
7950 OC'd 1,080 MHz/1,487 MHz at stock Voltage
P8Z68-V PRO GEN3
16 gb ram

Ok thanks. I will take that into consideration. I really like the idea of watercooling, and tigerdirect is having a decent sale on the h100i, but I will definitely invest more time into researching this topic before I make a final decision.
