Hey, I am looking for a Monitor mainly for doing Concept art and Digital Matte Painting.
My budget is 200$.Most of the time I have to use Photoshop and little bit of Maya.
A 24 inch display would be nice for me!Thank you in advance! :)

I don't know a ton about monitors, but it would seem that this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

is highly recommended for the price, I'd read this thread for some more info on the subject: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/67146-3-best-monitor-...

+1 to above. Good info for your budget. You really do not want a "cheap" monitor for design work. The colors will not be accurate.

hey, thanks for your reply. Actually before posting this thread, i have gone through the post you recommend and similar posts like this. yeah, i know 200$ is pretty much ridiculous amount of money to buy a quality display for doing graphic art.but the fact is thats all i can afford now :( .my current specs are >
processor : intel core i7 3770
mobo : Gigabyte ga b75 d3h (rev 1.1)
gpu : nvidia geforce gt 220 (intend to upgrade with in 2 months maybe gtx 760 or gtx 660 )
psu : cooler master gx 550w bronze
memory :8 Gb ddr3 transcend (1600)
display : 17 inch square samsung ( you see, thats a pretty small size display for my kind of work)
so, i badly need a large display within my budget.i do some research on my own and get confused! :(

Don't worry, I use an LG Flatron W2353VP ($200 dollars also) for gaming and graphic design and it's absolutely gorgeous, just because it's a bit cheaper doesn't mean it won't get the job done, best of luck.
