Well, I just purchased this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (ECS A75F2-A2(1.0) FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard)

and this CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

I power the computer on and it never POST's. The lights turn on. The drive spins up. No beep codes or flashing lights. I tried re-seating the RAM and CPU many times. No luck. Called ECS tech support. The guy told me that the FM2 socket doesn't support onboard graphics?

Is this true? And if so, why does the MoBo have three display outputs?

Thanks!

The socket does, your cpu does not. You need a discrete video card or an APU : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks for the fast reply! That clears things up a lot. So I should simply return the CPU and purchase an APU? How can I determine if a CPU also has a built in graphics processor?

Any A-series but make sure it is FM-2
FM-1 is a dead socket, & it will not work on your board.
Return that cpu = useless
