Which upgrading path should I take?

Right, here we go, I currently have an AM3 motherboard. I have alongside it a phenom ii x4 965 - that is really good. I also have a 7850 2GB. Now, I wanted to upgrade to a HD 7950 3gb because of the new battlefield that is coming out. Now, it seems that the phenom will bottleneck - which is really annoying. So, I have a budget of around £310 or $471. I have not bought the 7950 yet so I still want to be able to do so. Should I buy an Intel motherboard and go with the 3570k? That will only leave me with £70 which will set me back from getting the 7950. I will try and sell my CPU - but I know it wont go for too much. Or, should I get a 8320/8350? Not sure if they will bottleneck but my motherboard will support them which will make the situation cost less, which is good. In that case, I will only be £100 down from getting a 7950 and I probably can make it up by selling the phenom and the 7850 which I currently have. the other alternative would to overclock, which I am not too keen on. I want the CPU that will last me the longest. What should I do?

Nice choice, although the 6300 is not much of an upgrade ti my Phenom. And, I dont need a new motherboard XD

Well, if you don't need a motherboard get a 8350 and get the HD 7970 GHz.

I completely agree with 8350rocks (what's with the name?) . The 8350 and 7970 Ghz combo is just awesome for future games. Since the next gen consoles are 8 cores that is future games would be more optimized for multiple threads. It would just kick Intel's Ass with it's real cores as opposed to Hyper Threading.

There is nothing such as fanboys, the only thing is that it is more future proof when the LGA 1155 is dead, and since he already has a AM3+ motherboard then there is no point spending money on a new motherboard when he can get similar performance for less price. Then why spend money when there is no use in doing so?
