Wireless Card Advice

Just bought a new desktop, and the most convenient place is far from my router/modem, meaning I have to opt for a wireless card. Which would have the better VALUE (trading off of performance and cost), a USB one or PCI? And recommendations are open, I really want to spend the minimum I can while trying to retain a semi-decent performance. I just bought a desktop, and cash is low

They usually cost about the same, but PCIe ones often perform better due to less cramped designs. You also save a USB port.

Yeah, that's normal for a desktop. But I know people who use half a dozen ports easily...

EDIT: Main thing is that there's more room for better antennas in a PCIe one.
