I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard so i can overclock. I have a Gigabyte B75M-D3H (with windows 8) and i'm not sure what motherboard i want yet so hopefully one of you can help me. I want to know is it hard to upgrade a motherboard and can i get a different brand or does it need to be the same brand. Thank you.

In answer to your question, 'is it hard to upgrade a motherboard', I'm going to say the answer is yes, just based on the fact that you asked. If you take a look inside your computer, pretty much EVERY wire, EVERY part you see in there, gets connected to your motherboard. Upgrading it will involve taking everything apart, and putting it all back in.
Not to say it isn't doable at all. In fact, it's the beginning of a great hobby perhaps!
