I have a Canon MF4370DN all-in-one laser printer and would like to set it up wirelessly. It has an Ethernet port which allows it to be networked through wire.

Is it possible to use a USB wireless adapter to make this printer wirelessly accessible? The systems I would like to connect to it use Windows 8.

Ah that makes sense. I am somewhat doing that right now - I connected it to the wireless router via wire through the Ethernet port and used the regular canon network setup method. However I am no longer able to scan via network anymore which really sucks.

The Color Network ScanGear doesn't work on a wireless network?

The Color Network ScanGear driver was installed but there is no application to use to actually scan the document. Is this just a driver and I am supposed to use another software to actually scan the document? I tried installing a 3rd party software but it didn't detect the scanner after I had installed the Network ScanGear driver.

According to this, you need a third party software: http://theitbros.com/install-canon-scangear-tool/ If you don't have M$ Office installed, try xnview instead.
