Hello,

My computer started acting up couple of days ago.
I have 2 problems, that as ive read on the internet might be because of my graphics card overheating.
Firts my computer freezes, Im !almost! sure that it freezes only when im typing in firefox or when i change between tabs.
Second is my gpu heats up to 102C when playing video games. (borderlands 2, tomb rider(last one), red orchestra 2) ive never had this problem had computer about for 1.5 years.
Gpu overheats even when fan speed is at 100%. But computer does not shut down it goes in Power saving mode.

What i did to fix this, cleaned the dust out of case. And OMG ive never seen so much of it. when i put apart my graphics card ive applied good amount of past. so i dont think that is problem.(i hope)

one more thing i dont know if it is in my GPUs routine to do this. but when i opend up case to see if the cooler was cooling one of the coolers would stop from time to time and then continue or both of them would. and im not sure if this is normal or not.

GPU - MSI GeForce GTX560 Ti TWIN FROZR II .

Hi,

The fans intermittently stopping should not be happening if the GPU is showing high temp however, it shouldn't result in temps that high.

I would suggest trying to drop gfx settings in a game, let it run, see if high temp persists when GPU has a lesser workload.

edit: Are you using any of the overclocking functions on this card?
