I've recently bought an PCI NIC since my mobo network adapter seems to be faulty (its only connecting at 10mbps, and sometimes doesnt connect at all), and today i was watching some tv show and my computer kinda froze (video froze and sound got really slow), so i've rebooted and the NIC stopped working (error 10 on device manager), i've updated the driver and rebooted, it started working again, only for like 5 minutes and then my computer froze again (just like the first time), and after i removed my ethernet cable, it just unfroze (so i'm guessing it was the NIC that froze it on the first place), now it just keeps "identifying" and then "unidentified network) -- Just wondering what could've caused the damage to the NIC? (like my +12v is said to be 15.40 on aida64, and 11.79 on bios and my +3.3v is at 3.37, could be it the cause?) Since i don't want to just buy another one and end up with another fried nic on the next week...

I've switched the port, but i'm currently using my mobo network adapter and it's working "fine" (10mbps), so i didn't think it is the cable, through i'm going to test with another one in a sec and i'll reply here.

Hmm.. The fallback to 10mbps typically happens, if not all twisted cable pairs are connected. If it's the standard realtech cips, you can download the network manger pack from the website. It has a diagnostic mode and shows more details about the problem.
