Me being an idiot powered on the P.C without the power connectors attached to my graphics card, it ran this for a few hours thinking it'd be safe. ( I needed the graphics card unplugged for something). Then I go to plug the power connectors back in and realize it's not displaying anything on my monitors. I can't figure out whether it's the card or motherboard. The fans on the graphics card are working, even without the power connectors.

It being not being connected to a power supply but in the PCI e slot may have damaged your motherboard internally, withdrawing the maximum amount of power from the pci e slot may have damaged your slot or motherboard here's how to check that it is not the slot: plug the power cord into the gpu when the computer is turned off and everything is unplugged of course turn it on with the display coming from the card, if you get a display then it is not the slot or the card and when you get into windows install the drivers from the CD or the website.

If it is still showing no display it might be the card because you stated that the fans were still spinning on it, you might have shorted out some capacitors on the card or it could be a faulty slot but let's hope it is none of these!,

Kieran

Thanks, so you're saying I should plug the power into the gpu IN the pci slot or not in it? I'm just a little confused by what you mean.
Would it not be a safer bet to buy a pci card such as wireless adapter to check if that works in the slot? I can easily get one for cheap, and delivered Monday.

Plug the power cord in the gpu and slot it in the PCI e x16 slot.
