Hi there,
I would like to ask which GTX 760 should I grab for my new PC (ASUS Z87 Expert + i7 4770K)? (I know they arent all out yet (or not long on market), but I want your opinion based on experience with brands with older cards. Also I know there is similair question few posts under this, but I have different preferences about GPU). At the moment I am deciding between these:
- MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC Gaming
- GIGABYTE N760OC-2GD
- ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5
- EVGA GeForce GTX760 SuperClocked ACX

Since price from my local store varies from €253 to €257 price isnt problem. My main concern about card is noise and heating (willing to sacrifice small % from raw power if card will be noticeable quieter and cooler). Overclocking is out of table now, but cant deny it later (but this is least important feature for me).

Heard MSI Frozr cooling and EVGA ACX cooling are pretty good, ASUS is claiming 20% lower heating and Gigabyte have WindForce 3X. Also everyone claiming low levels of noise and frequencies is pretty similiar. Because I dont have any experience with any card from these manufacturers (had notebooks last 8 years) I really need your help with chosing best card and telling me also which one have best service, most reliable cards, best power/heat/noise ratio, etc.

Thank you

EVGA's ACX is the worst... even worse than stock cooler in some aspects. And EVGA's customer service in Europe is far from being the best.

According to techpowerup, MSI's GTX760 gaming is clearly the best option when it comes to low noise and low temperature:

Noise under load: Gigabyte : 34dba, EVGA 38, MSI 27, Asus 33.

Temp:

Brand/Idle temp/Load temp

Gigabyte GTX 760 OC 36°C 68°C
NVIDIA GTX 760 36°C 82°C
ASUS GTX 760 DC II...

IMO the best 760 is the Gigabyte V2 with the windforce cooler. Its whisper quiet and wont even break 65C

EVGA's ACX version.

Either that, or the MSI Twin Frozr/Gigabyte Windforce, as Intel God mentioned.

The MSI and the Gigabyte are the quietest, and run the coolest. I don't know know how EVGA's ACX version compares, but I'd imagine it's on par with them.

I'd buy EVGA for their support/warranty anyway - probably the best in the GPU business.

Really? The ACX is bad?!

I've read a few reviews that said how good it was :O

Well, I was thinking of buying one in a few weeks, after originally considering the MSI.

Thanks for the heads-up, sir - you've saved me some hassle :)

Back to the MSI then, I suppose :D
