Hello,

So im about to build myself a new computer, and I wanted to know is getting the 770 2GB is overkill for the programs I use...

I use Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Speed grade. Along with Cinema 4D and 3Ds Max... and for games I pretty much only play BF3 and Call Of Duty...

The 770 2GB is $100 more than the 670 2GB right now, so I was wondering how much of a performance difference there would be for the programs I use...

I pretty use the same programs and have the same build (16gb 1866 ram, i7 4770k and gtx 770 running on windows 8.1). For battlefield 3, you'll get 60 - 75 fps average on ultra, but for visual effects and animation, it all depends on how complex your work is.

The GTX 780ti is a great card, but it's overkill. It's a $650 card, for goodness' sake. You can play everything on ultra with the GTX 770, a $350 GPU. I think the GTX 770 is a sweetspot between it's performance and the price of it.
