intel 4570 vs amd 8320

How do these processors compare in performance only. I assume the 8-core is better for multitasking because of the threads. I know there is a lot of debate for intel vs 8000s, so I think this is because the i5 have faster threads, so they are better for single threaded applications, but the 8000s are better for applications with more than 4 threads, is this correct?

Yes , Intel 4570 beats the 8320 by +60% in single threaded performance ! So no doubt it is much better for gaming !. And for multithrreaded operations like video rendering, Both are almost same. So go for AMD :)
Its as simple as that, If you have any other questions you are welcome. If ur question is solved, dont forget to select the best answerr :D
  2. Grab the i5 4570 any day, because it is better in single thread performance and hence would game better, and i do not see any point in getting the 8320 vs the 4570. And also since LGA 1150 is a new socket it would see more great processors for at least 2-3 years to come. Had it been 3570 vs 8320 i would have recommended the 8320 because LGA 1155 is dead. But since it is haswell vs the 8320 go with the 4570 any day. As i said earlier it is better in single threaded performance and on par in multi threaded performance.
