Hi all, my situation is this:
I don't know too much about monitors, but I just built a nice gaming rig and am running it with a 13" 4:3 hp piece of junk from 2002!
Needless to say, I believe it's time for an upgrade, as crisis 3 on ultra only looks so good when running it on a lower res than my cell phone...
So my question is: what is the best 27" gaming monitor I can get for less than $300? I would like to eventually buy three, thus why I'm looking for the lowest possible price point.
Thanks!

I have 2 Korean eBay monitors and I love them. Final price was around $330 each. Totally worth it. Make sure to thoroughly google the topic of "korean monitors" first though, there are some serious caveats if you don't know what to look for.

As far as resolution goes, higher is definitely better. However, from my limited experience, higher resolution does not always equal better picture. Also, the cheapest 1440p displays I've seen are always $700 and up.
And as for stuff from china, I don't have an aversion to it, so long as the quality is good.
What I'm looking for is the best quality monitor for less than $300. Things such as low input lag, decent picture quality, and good color/contrast are what I'm looking at. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the cheap 1440p Chinese monitors looked worse than some better quality 1080p panels. And I wonder how badly they'd lag...
