i5 4670k closed loop cpu cooler questions.

Ok so im looking to upgrade to the i5 4670k from my old 920 setup and was looking to try something different. I was looking at buying either a nzxt kracken x60 or a corsair h110. But my question is will these work with my lian li k62 case and is there a better close loop system ?

Edit: Or should I just go with a h80i / h90 or a high quality air cooler ?

I'm myself am planning to get a Swiftech H220. Your case looks like it should have room to fit the rad at the top part then exhaust air updawards. Based on the reviews I've read, the pump on the H220 should be strong enough so you can expand the loop. I plan to use that and then add another rad later to water-cool my GPU.

I probably will not expand anymore than the default because the card I have currently is a 680 ftw evga model and I'm not sure there is any water blocks for it and I have it iced on air as good as it will get stability wise.

If you're planning on spending the 150 dollars on the H220 why not grab a real watercooling kit instead?

I was looking more into the AIO kits that could be expanded but that XSPC kit you linked looks to be pretty sweet. Did some reading and it looks like the pump on that kit should also be powerful enough to support a CPU+GPU setup [with an additional 120/240 rad]. If all OP wants is just cooling the CPU then a single 120/140 [thick?] rad might just do the job. Just a matter of choosing which one performs best. This is not my department so I'll leave the suggestions to other more capable people.

Well im looking for The best CPU cooler within reason that I can get. it just seems the closed loop systems seem to be the most cost effective. Not to mention I like being able to direct out the heat through top instead of the back.

Well I went back and im tossing around the idea of a h80i and a h100i but i cant picture how I would get the h100i and cant find hardly any info online :S I like that phantek but the noctuas are suppose to work a little better from what I hear.

I was getting ready to order with the phanteks but i was doing some reading on how lame the new haswell cpus are now im not sure. would i really notice that much of a change ? I hear they dont oc very well and are not that much faster than sandy bridge.

I bought the 4770K at Microcenter and at 279 it was a no brainer. I dont use HT but at that price i didnt care. What do you plan on doing with it? Just gaming?

Gaming and daily computer. I am looking at getting the deal on newegg a i7 4770k + a gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H for $430. still trying to decide on a h80i or a phanteks that was mentioned above. I was thinking of getting the h80i and putting a shroud between the fan and the cooler to make it cover the radiator more.

If you have the money go for the 4770K and ASRock boards are amazing for the money. They havent been bad since the X58 days.

Only reason i dont recommend Asus boards this generation is because i consider them to be extremely ugly with the gold scheme.

hmm ok it suprising how good my old i7 920 does at stock speed in certain situations

well I think im going to get the i7 4770k with the gigabyte motherboard and the tc14pe and that should put me right at $500 which will give me the $50 credit next month also.
