Curious how to set up a mouse to be good. I thought a mouse was just a mouse until a few google searches and now im dafuq'd

Do I leave the desktop computer sensitivity at default and turn any in-game sensitivity ALL the way down for gaming and then just use the mouses adjustable DPI to find what feels good?

I read stuff saying that if you mess with in game or desktop it will screw things up and miss pixels or something and also read that you should never install mouse drivers because they are useless and cause more problems than actually benefitting anything. Knowledge please, thanks guys :)

Don't...

Drivers are ok to install they dont really cause many issues, for specific models they do but for the most part they help. As for changing it in game theres no reason why you shouldnt do that. It wont cause any issues and how else are you supposed to get it down without trying it in game. I use 125Hz and 1800 Dpi on my razer abyssus and with most default game settings I found that works best, for me. Its all up to the user though. There is no "Correct" way to have your sensitivity set. Its however you find it best.

I set the "mouse speed" option to default (centered), and use between 1600 and 1800 DPI. I found, at least with the Lua scripting options in the Logitech Gaming Software, that the default speed allows the MoveMouseRelative(x,y) function to move the mouse 1 pixel per x/y coordinate. If you change the "mouse speed" option, it starts working in multiples or fractions.

There are a few games which seem to have their own mouse sensitivity settings, like Skyrim, which I just adjust in game, but that isn't that common.
