Built my pc about 6 months ago. Been using the integrated graphics. Finally decide I want to get a graphics card to play some games. I can't decide whether or not to get the 760 now or save up a little more and get the 770. Right now I've been playing borderlands 2 and guild wars 2. Looking to play BF3 and BF4 once that comes out. Is that extra $150+ worth it or should I just go with the 760

More about : decide 760 770

I would say 760, it should play everything on highest settings at atleast 30 fps.

Go with Sapphire 7970 dual-X, $300 with 4 free game, a very nice choice, play any game crank at high preset.
Also, there's no wrong if you want 760, 760 performance will between 660 ti and 670, only
if you like to play Assassin Creed, Crysis or other TXAA feature game, go with Nvidia, recommend 770 or wait 760 ti, could be cheaper, if you would likely go with SLI configuration for next future, 760 would be perfect choice( based on its wise pricing, temp and power consumption).
IMO, PhysX in Nvidia GTX is rather useless, although it might good in some game, Workstation Quadro is way better in calculation.

7970 Sapphire is a great deal right now, although their is no free 4 games right now. the 760 is cheaper though, but the 7970 overclocks ans scales like a beast in most cases, and comparing a stock 7970 to other cards is almost pointless. It really comes down to what you want to spend.

I would go for the 770 for longevity, unless you want to sli in the future I would go for the 770
