I'm seeking to buy a pre-built desktop PC that can handle everyday MS office tasks but also be medium to heavy duty D.A.W..

Requirements
i5 processor or higher
Graphics card 2Gb
Windows 7 64 bit OS
16gb RAM

I've been searching in the following sites:

newegg.com
techbargains.com
slickdeals.net

Why not build it yourself? Companies that make "gaming PCs" usually use low quality power supplies etc. in order to lower the cost, therefore reducing quality of the system overall, which is something you don't want. Also, building it yourself is much more cost effective.

I'm simply going to affirm what Icy says above, CyberpowerPC seems to have more options than iBuyPower and both of those have "standard" PSU's that are to be avoided like the plague. The advantage to those vendors are that they use the same components as we would for a build (which avoids some of the pitfalls of an off-the-shelf pre-built such as locked BIOS, etc.). The 'standard' PSU's are their weak point though.
