Inbuilt Realtek vs Creative Sound Blaster Play?

Recently I've been looking into buying an external usb sound card for my laptop, and the Sound Blaster Play has caught my eye http://au.creative.com/p/sound-blaster/sound-blaster-play . I'm wondering how the sound quality and driving power of this would compare to the inbuilt Realtek set-up on my laptop? Any help appreciated, thanks!

well since its a bass heavy headphone, I think your money would be better spent on a portable amplifier.

As for getting a better sound card, yea i think it would be a difference but dunno if it would be worth it.

Yeah can you explain that one to me? I heard that an amp only increases volume, and I find the volume from the inbuilt sound card to be sufficient. But I've also heard people say otherwise. So are you saying that an amp will increase quality as well as change the EQ in a way?
I'm now looking into the HiFiMAN Hm-101 http://hifiman.com/Products/?pid=113 Would that be a good choice for my headphones? Thanks
