Hi all, I found I've been having this issue with my games very recently and so far I have no idea what's causing this..
The issue is that some of the textures/resolution (i'm not entirely clear on what the difference is) - such as brick walls, floors, armor on people etc is very low quality even though the settings should not allow for this, and resolution/textures of weapons and other props is nice and detailed. Its really easy for me to notice this difference because when I played these games before this wasn't an issue.
I've tried updating the video card and re-installing the games but to no avail.

my computer info:
ATI Redeon HD 5700 Series
AMD Phantom II X4 965 Processor
4Gb RAM

Any help would be greatly appreciated

when did this started to happen? before or after you've updated your gpu? what catalyst driver were you running before? have you tried installing older drivers? have you used amd's uninstall utility before updating your driver?

Thank you for the quick response

- Started happening less than a week ago
- Before I did the updates (i thought updating might fix it)
- No idea what catalyst driver I had before the updates - I got this PC from a friend and I don't think he kept it up to date very well.. though honestly I wouldn't have tried updating if not for this issue..
- Haven't tried installing older drivers
- And no I haven't used the uninstall utility before updating

try uninstalling your drivers using amd's official uninstall utility - http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/catalyst-u...
then reinstall the drivers again.
